A short visit to Národní Muzeum (National Museum), Praha

The National Museum is in my list of the top 5 places to visit in Prague. I’ve been here before when I was still a young boy many years ago.  There has so much improvement in the building as well as the displays. Truly a day isn’t enough to view all the displays inside. For more than 4 hours of walking around, scrutinizing and adoring the exhibits, we were only able to cover the Historical Museum, the mineralogical and zoological section of the Natural Science Museum.  Another visit is required to see more of the collections.

Essential Information:
The museum is open to the public for FREE every first Monday of the month.
On regular days, entrance fee for adults costs 120 czk and 70 czk for students. For family (max. 2 adults, total 4 persons) you get to pay only 150 CZK.  For school groups (5 and more persons accompanied by pedagogue) fee costs 40 CZK/person.
If you want to take pictures inside, a separate fee of 50 czk is required.
