Punta Bulata in Cauayan, Negros Occidental

There are many reasons why I love the Philippines. Aside from its great seafoods, friendly people, the sunny weather and tropical fruits, it has the world’s beautiful beaches too.

It would be unfortunate if I don’t visit one of the beaches during my vacation. Luckily even in Negros Occidental, there are still many white-sand beaches that people can go to, no need to travel far to Boracay or Palawan.

We drove south of Bacolod to Punta Bulata Resort and Spa, about 167 kms. travel from Bacolod City. The trip took us almost 4 hours, occasionally stopping by to buy some fruits and food and also taking pictures of the beautiful views we’d pass by.

The beach resort is not as crowded as other commercial resorts which was a plus for us. There are many accommodations for guests who wants to stay overnight. They have beach cabanas, family suites, casitas and their small hotel which has about 12 spa rooms.

If you want to enjoy the sea in silence, it’s best to go there during weekdays. Just a tip!
