Another famous attraction in Prague is the Charles Bridge. This is a historical bridge that connects the Lesser Town and the Old Town with the Vlatava River running underneath. The bridge has three bridge towers, two are at the Lesser Town side and the third one is at the Old Town side. The Old Town bridge is said to be one of the most interesting civil gothic-style buildings in the world.
The bridge has endured centuries including the war and needs to be repaired because of its bad condition. The repair was started in the Autumn of 2007. The reconstruction has two phases. Phase 1 is scheduled to finish in 2010 and the next phase will be in another decade.
