While in Uganda, we planned to go to Zanzibar last weekend. Zanzibar is still part of Africa, in the Eastern side which belongs to the republic of Tanzania. We’ve been told there were nice Zanzibar beaches in its coast and numerous islets. A day in the beach to unwind was our target and also a quick tour around the island.

In preparation for our trip, we looked up for a car rental company that would provide us with a vehicle that we can use while on the island. It was a coincidence that I chanced upon a Advantage Rent A Car that offers car rental worldwide. They have services available in Australia/New Zealand, Canada/Mexico, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe and Middle East and Southeast Asia. That was great coz they even offer special 50% rental discount on their luxury and convertible cars! But I couldn’t find one for Africa!
Unfortunately, our planned Zanzibar trip was cancelled because work got in the way. We had to work even on a Sunday! Maybe on my next African trip I’ll be able to visit Zanzibar.
