If Obama is in Berlin today as part of his international tour as a candidate for the US presidential seat, so was I exactly a week ago. Obama initially planned to give his speech at the Brandenburg Gate but was declined.
Below is a picture I took of the historic Brandenburg Gate which divided West and East Berlin before:
To the left side, you can see a US flag flying in the air. The building houses the US embassy in Berlin.

Unfortunately we were too tired to head on further down to the Victory Column, or Siegessaeule where Obama gave his much-attended speech today.
